Julie created Bellyful Meals in November 2006. She is a trained chef, and graduated first in her class at National Culinary School, 2005. She also has a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 2003.
"I've been interested in food my entire life, always being involved in the kitchen with my mother and grandmother, who put me through my first round of 'culinary school'. After studying photography and psychology at The University of Michigan, I returned to my love of cooking and attended National Culinary School, right here in San Diego. I've been cooking for a wide range of people for over 15 years with my business; small local families to large parties, vacationers, politicians, celebrities and athletes. My love of food has allowed me to share fun and healthy ways of eating with friends and family, which led me to becoming my own personal chef. I took my knowledge from culinary school and lost 40 pounds as well as kept it off with two babies. My husband also lost weight, lowered his cholesterol significantly, and continues to play soccer competitively in his 40's, just by eating smart and healthy. I'm looking forward to sharing all my food knowledge with my kids, they already jump at the chance to bake with me. I've always enjoyed cooking special meals for the people around me. I feel that more people would eat healthy if they knew how good it really is. I look forward to cooking for you!"
"As a chef I am dedicated to sharing my passion of food to everyone. I enjoy cooking healthy & comfort food from all parts of the world. I've done a lot of research into creating healthy meals that taste awesome, learning a lot about nutrition from my own personal journey in taking the baby weight off and staying healthy. I strive to provide my clients with wholesome great tasting meals, using the freshest ingredients, to give a more structured and nutritious way of eating, allowing more free time to spend with family and friends."

"In addition to cooking I also enjoy hiking, skiing, body boarding, dancing, photography, working out, and traveling cross country. Besides having my two girls, one of my most exciting accomplishments was with my husband when we hiked to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite.
